Fustrating?

I can't find my cell phone. I've searched the whole house. I called my number it went straight to voice mail. My phone is dead. I remember putting it in the diaper bag on Thanksgiving. Then it came out and went on the mail collector in the kitchen. Well its not there now. I even asked Emily is she has seen it. I even looked in the toy box. Oh well, it will show up.

This past weekend was busy with sells from etsy. I was really suprised. I had an order on Friday, 3 on Saturday and 1 one Sunday. I know that doesn't seem like a lot. Some of the orders had 3 items plus a freebie. So my poor old printer has been printing up a storm. I sold a total of 17 items and gave away 4 free items.

Right now I'm in my office listening to music. Emily just woke up (2:50pm) she will be up all night. She is officially on third shift. Mia sleeps great at night now about 8-10 hours with one feeding in the middle. Mia is in the crib now talking to her new music thing. She eats, plays and sleeps and in that order. She sounds like now she about ready for another nap.

Glasses Like Tracie's

Emily loves cousin Tracie's glasses. Rich had these clear work glasses that she found. She put them on and then pulled them back on her head. Her hair looks pretty like this. I wish she would wear something in her hair to pull it back. I asked if I could take her picture. So after about 10 pictures. She said she wanted to take a picture with me. So we went to Rich's office and had him to take our picture then I took pictures of Rich and Emily.

New Packaging

Emily was gone most of the day. Sophie and Tim brought her home around 3 pm and held Mia until 6 pm. So I worked on my office. I cleaned off the whole desk and posted a few items on etsy. Took some new pictures. Then started working on new packaging labels. Last night I bought cello bags on ebay. They are the same as the old ones except they are stapled to the outside of the package instead of being inserted inside the package. Then for some color I added scrap paper to each package. It looks really good.

100th post

Today is my 100th post. Nothing much is going on around here. Just cold, rainy, cloudy days.

Days to stay inside next the heater and watch tv and play on the computer.
Days to eat Bojangles or Pizza
Days to stay curled up in pajamas and fuzzy socks.

Emily stays put on the computer or watches TV. For Mommy time, She likes to paint, stamp or make cookies.
Mia is growing like a week. Guzzling down 6-8 oz of formula at a time. She now wears 6-9 month old clothes. She is cooing and giggling more and more each day.
I'm glued to my office desk more then ever. I think I have a new obsession called etsy.
Rich has been busy in his office trying to make money to pay the bills.

Feels like a Saturday

Is it really Tuesday already? Well Friday 1st shift went well and that was the end. Friday afternoon emily took a nap and it was all over she was up until 5 am on Saturday. 4:30 am on Sunday and 4:45 am on Monday. So needless to say we are still on 2nd and 3rd shift. Yesterday I had only 3 hours of sleep from 7 am-10 am. Mia was so good in the morning. She played in her bed until 12 pm and then took a 3 hour nap in her crib. During that time, I cleaned the kitchen, the bathroom, swept the floors, cleaned off the dining room table, laundry, folded clothes and even ironed. At around 1:30 pm Tracie and Aaron stopped by for a visit. They left around 2 pm. Then Sophie, Tim and Grandma came for the afternoon from 2:30-5 pm. I left the Emily and Mia (for the first time) with them and went to the post office to mail off a package to Cananda. I ran into Big Lots for 5 minutes to see if they had any new thickers. Around 6 pm I was ready for a nap. We didn't go to bed until 5:30 am this morning and slept until 3:30 pm.

Emily leaned how to paint with stamps today. I taped kraft paper to my desk and pulled out the foam stamps. She figured it out very quickly and was very careful not to get on her hands. Then she told me she was done and went in the living room to watch Tom and Jerry and fell asleep on the couch. Mia woke up and I put her in the bouncy in front of the mirror in the hall. She loves to look at herself. This week she discovered her hands. She watches them, rubs her eyes and loves to chew on them.

Today I working on re-designing the numbers on my MOD orange jewel calendar. I relized while working on the months that I forgot the #20 in July and have to resend it to one of my buyers on etsy. I finished the Storybook line last week. My new line I have in my head is Sunbonnet Sue. I pulled out all my fabric from the basement looking for vintage fabric and my Sunbonnet Sue quilt. I'm going to scan them all in and make papers, cards and tags with them.

Well I would say I'm going back now to create, except Mia is crying and the "V" is coming on tv in 8 minutes. So off to feed Mia and put her to sleep and watch my show. I'm also waiting for Rich to get back from the store with some canned pepsi that I've been craving.

Restructure

Trying to get back on 1st shift. Emily fell asleep at 1 am. So I decided not to stay up and go to bed with Mia. Mia slept 8 hours. It would have nice to have gotten the same amount of sleep. Emily woke up 3 times for chocolate milk at all hours. She finally awoke around 10:30 am. Its 11 am the laundry's almost done. The dishes are washed. Mia has had a bath. Emily is dressed and changed. I can see the sunshine instead of the sunset so all is well.

Today

Here a pictures of my new paper line called Alphabet Storybook. I've been on my computer day and night (mostly night) creating this. I have had the idea in my head for quite some time. I have 6 more papers on paper that I'm still working on getting in digital format. The colors i chose to match the vintage illustrations. I printed out these 2 sheets tonight in 8x8. They look so good. Now i just need to use them.

Well I though Emily might reset her clock. She stayed up until 4:50 am last night and then slept until 3 pm. Tonight she went to bed around 12:30 am, but its 4:17 am and she is wide awake. I fell asleep around 7 pm and slept until 10 pm. I watched CSI: NY. then I got working on the computer. I tried to go back to bed around 3:30 am, but Mia wanted to play instead. So we are up again on the computer. Mia has been good today she took long naps in the crib. During that free time, I did a couple loads of clothes, ironed all Rich's clothes, washed some glass jars out and put food in them.

Rainy, Windy + funny conversations

Today we woke up this afternoon to pouring rain and wind. We have stayed in our warm dry house playing computer games and watching tv. I was sitting on the couch feeding Mia and Emily came over and was talking about her ritz crackers. Emily: "My crackers are dimply and have seeds." Where did she learn the word "dimply"? Then later tonight around midnight, she was playing elmo computer games. She was pointing to the 3 items she could dress up and pointed to the scarecrow and called it a "scares crow". While she was decorating a pumpkin, she rubbed her hands together and said "hmmm, I have an idea." She has been having the funniest conversations, she is very all about drama and matter of fact. Rich said he heard a noise, which he thought was outside and was getting ready to go investigate when he asked Emily if she heard that noise, Emily replied "Oh, Dadoo, its just my chocolate milk" and went on watching her cartoon.

Sneak Peak

Here is a sneak peak of a new flashcard I'm making for Etsy. I have plans also to make a whole paper line to match.

Today, Emily didn't get up until 2: 30 pm, but then she didn't go to bed until around 3:45 am. I got up around 12:30 pm and then fell asleep again around 2-3. Rich came home with food from Burger King. So we all got up then to eat.

Right now 6:12 pm.

Mia is sleeping in her carrier.

Emily just took a bath and is watching cartoons.

Rich is cleaning out the garage and loading bins to the basement.

I'm working on the computer making my new flashcards.

3rd shift

I'm not sure how I landed on 3rd shift. But its 6 pm and it feels like afternoon to me. Lately my bed time has been 5 am and wake up time is around 12-1 pm. About 7 hours of sleep, but of course not all in one lump, since Mia has to eat every 4 hours. The height of my day starts around midnight. I'm wide awake then, lately Emily has been too. So I still don't get alot done.

Tonight, I'm going to make meatloaf and macroni and cheese. After cleanup, Smallville comes on at 8 pm. Then I'm planning on making mini kits to put on etsy. I've made kits before for me to use to take to crops. I love the whole process of kits. Every month just drool at the kits at Studio Calico. I still have lots of paper to sell. It didn't sell all sell on ebay. I'll also use some of my new labels and tags for the kits also.

The kits I have in my head to make are: Celebrate Pink, Funky, Snowy Christmas, Vintage Christmas, Classic Christmas and Dress-Up (with new my mind's eye stuff).

I'll have pictures later.

Santa Flashcards

Today I had some Etsy orders. One a week is nice. One a day would be nicer. Maybe one day it will be bigger. I'm trying to post at least 3-5 items a week. It all depends on if the kids are going to nice or not. I got my studio spick and span early this morning. I just need to sweep and vacuum the floor and it will be done. So maybe I can get more done.

Here is a new item I posted a couple of days ago, that would be perfect for ATC's or Art journals.

Tired

Today Sophie, Tim and Grandma came to pick up Emily around 10 am. Emily didn't go to bed until 2 am (she had a meltdown on one of her computer games, she picked one that was too hard for her level and insisted that I play the game while Mia was having a colic fit) So I sent her to bed. I went to bed around 5 am. So when they came over I was exhausted. So after they left, I went back to sleep. I couldn't get motivated today. I got up for a little while and fell back to sleep around 3 pm and slept until 10:45 pm.

Wacom

I got my Wacom tablet today. I didn't get to play with it much today. Mia went to sleep in her crib, so I decided it was time to do the dishes. I ran around like a chicken, trying to wash dishes, put laundry in, fold laundry and iron clothes. I even set out chicken to be thawed. Mia woke up and I put her in the carrier. When Rich got home, we made Italian chicken, greenbeans and rice Pilaf. I got settled down on the couch with Mia and watched NCIS, NCIS: LA and Lost Tapes. Finally around 11 pm I got up and got on the computer to play with my Wacom.

Brain Cramp

I can't design as fast as I can think. I start working on a new tag and half way through my mind is spinning for the next project. I can't create fast enough. When I finish the product, I still have to make the packaging label, bag it, take picture, post it and write a description for it and then just wait for it to sell. My mind won't even let me scrapbook. I'm just stuck here at the computer all day everyday. Every now and then I quick load some clothes in the wash or fold some.

Here is a few new items I put in my etsy shop today.

Emily is now glued to the computer. All day she sits in front of me with her own computer, playing Reader Rabbit or Noggin online. We are like couch potatoes except I think we'll call computer potatoes.

Mia's new facination is a little cloth piano that plays music and lights up. Emily loved it at that age. She will lay on her back in her crib and just watch it. When the music stops, she cries to let us know she wants it turned back on.

Smile. Today would be a wonderful day not to take life so seriously. Today may end up the way you prefer - and it may not. Happiness is not about being a winner - it's about being gentle with life - being gentle with yourself. Let life be a dance, and choose the kind of dance you want for today - perhaps a gentle loving dance.
