Pulling Up

This is Mia's new stunt. Pulling up to a chair, table, crib or toys. She can get up to her knees. I did catch her on one foot and one knee holding on for dear life on the child fence. She was stuck, she wasn't sure how to get down.

WoW!

Mia has a new word! WOW! She says it all day. She looks at her toys and says WOW. Of course since she is learning English, she repeats it all day long.

Bye -Bye

This is Mia waving Bye-Bye. When I make her a bottle, she calls it a bye-bye and waves as we make her bottle. She waves all the time. Her other new word is "ball". I rolled her the ball in her play area and she said "ball". She like any word with a B. She played the Elmo book and Elmo said "This is the letter B". Mia repeated right after Elmo "Bye-Bye.

My Two Front Teeth

Last week was rough, Mia sprounted two teeth within a week apart. She was so crabby. Finally we are able to get some sleep and play time. The other day when I took these pictures, she proudly gave me cheesy grins showing off her little teeth :)

Fenced In

Love my baby fence. The grandparents bought this for Emily when she was little. I pulled it out and wrapped it around my office. Mia has room to crawl and play. I had it in a circle like the picture, but soon Mia cried everytime she saw it. So I stretched it out to cover half the room. Now there is plenty of room for both Emily and Mia. I'm not sure how I would survive without it.

Outside

This afternoon around 3 pm, I took the kids outside to enjoy the weather. I bought Emily a new Kailan lego set to go with her previous set from her birthday. I put them all in a basket and she wanted to take them outside to play too. I took Mia and a blanket, some crayons, pen and notebook. Rich got the tent tarp out and laid it on the grass and we all got on that. Mia played with toys and Emily with legos. Rich brought me out a pillow later, and I tried to take a nap. Mia found a crayon and never ate it, she just looked at it and watched Emily with her crayon. I put the notebook in Mia's lap and she tried to color. I think we'll have another crayon artist in the future :)

Entertainment

Lately, Mia is Emily's new entertainment. Emily want to sit next to Mia in the basket. Emily loves to get in the crib with Mia and read her books, play trains together or just lay there and try to mimic Mia talking Baby talk.

Mobile

Mia is almost mobile. She gets around while sitting up by rolling onto her back, then to her stomach and just reaches for things. She rolls over and then back around until she has been in a complete circle. She still falls over when sitting, so I grabbed a laundry basket one day and put her in it full with toys. Its now the new hit. Emily loves it too. She pulls up another basket next to Mia's and plays with her barbies and Train sets her basket.

Spring Nights

Emily woke up this afternoon. (we stayed up all night) and told me that she needed to put her shoes on, becaue Dadoo was taking her to the store to buy catfood for Patches. She made is all up. Rich was outside working on the truck. So anyways, I got her pants and shoes on, got mia dressed and my shoes on and we went outside to watch him work on the truck. Later that evening I dressed Emily and Mia in bathing suits and we put them in the kiddie pool. The water was way to cold. So after 5 minutes, we moved them both with their bathing suits still on to the bath tub to play. We'll have to wait until it gets a little warmer to do an evening in the swimming pool.

Its Spring

Tim and Sophie brought over the cutest matching nighties for the kids. After Mia had her bath yesterday we dressed her up in the whale. I put the whale bottoms and then she wanted to wear the butterfly wings. They had 2 easter buckets, but i wanted to get pictures outside. So I grabbed a quilt, the camera and the Easter buckets, each grandparent had a kid and we went outside. 117 pictures later, Mia didn't smile once, she just kept cutting her eyes over at Emmy looking at all her bucket contents wondering why her bucket was empty. ( I had dumped out the green grass and candy out of Mia's bucket so she wouldn't eat it and just gave her the empty bucket and shovel).

Spring is Here!

Enjoying today weather! Tim, Sophie and I took the kids to the park. Mia fell asleep in the car seat on the way there and slept most of the time. Emily played and played. She ran around making new friends. She got on top of one of the plastic dinosaurs and told a little boy that is was a "triceratops" then she went on to explain that the spots on him where to keep him warm. Where did she learn this?? Computer?? Maybe Diego or Dora, I've dinosaurs on those 2 shows? She had a name for the other dinosaur too. She was correct for both of them. After about an hour, Emily had me on the slides. She said "C'mon, lets climb up the stairs. I'll show you how!" Around 4 pm it was really starting to warm up, so we convenced Emily to go see the ducks by telling her we were going to get some french fries. She left was out a meltdown. We saw the ducks and turtle then left and went to BK. In the car, I kept asking Emily is she wanted some Fries, she just kept mumbling "I just want a coke." I got a coke and a chocolate milk shake. When Sophie and Tim left, we all crashed out for about 3 hours.

Caught! Redhanded

I walked out of the room for a second and came back and Mia had dumped over my paper trash can and had a piece in her mouth.

Milestone

Today, Mia reached a another milestone -turning over from her back to stomach. She has been trying for a while, but get that one arm stuck. Well she mastered it in the crib today.

Mia was in her walker last night and I turned around and caught her typing on Emily's keyboard (shh don't tell Emily). She acted like she knew exactly what she was doing.

Corn on the Cob

Rich gave Mia a lick of his corn. That was it she had to have more. He scrapped off any corn pieces and she had a blast nawing away on her cob.

Presents

Mia was enjoying empty boxes at Emily's birthday party with glee.

Mmmm. . . they even taste good.

Emily setting up her new Kailan lego set. Right after she got the box open, she was shopping on the box. She was picking out other sets of Kailan and was pouting because she didn't get them too.

Hilarious Giggles

Its 6:23 am and I've been up all night putting together orders and printing. The first 2 weeks of February I didn't get any orders, last Thursday the rush hit. I've been working 12-14 hour shift in my office just doing orders. I'm exhausted.

Anyways this morning, Mia was playing in her bumbo with her box of toys and she just started laughing. She only laughs like this when Emily is making faces or dancing for her. Mia was holding a duck with a bobble head. The duck head would bobble and she was just laugh hilariously.

This is what we do at 4 am

Take cute pictures, while everyone is sleeping . . .

Quote

Smile. Today would be a wonderful day not to take life so seriously. Today may end up the way you prefer - and it may not. Happiness is not about being a winner - it's about being gentle with life - being gentle with yourself. Let life be a dance, and choose the kind of dance you want for today - perhaps a gentle loving dance.
