Long Overdue

I saw this mini diary on Ali Edwards site. I think for now this would good for my blog, since I have no time to blog. The past 13 days I've been swamped with orders. I've been printing and cutting like mad. No time to design new stuff or to sleep. This week schedule we are on from 5 am - 5 pm. The last few days I've been getting up at 5 am. The kids have been getting up too, then taking a early morning nap. I've been trying to stay awake to get some things done while the kids are out.
Like this morning:
Washing the dishes
De-furring Rich's suit
Picking out Sunday clothes

Enjoying today weather! Tim, Sophie and I took the kids to the park. Mia fell asleep in the car seat on the way there and slept most of the time. Emily played and played. She ran around making new friends. She got on top of one of the plastic dinosaurs and told a little boy that is was a "triceratops" then she went on to explain that the spots on him where to keep him warm. Where did she learn this?? Computer?? Maybe Diego or Dora, I've dinosaurs on those 2 shows? She had a name for the other dinosaur too. She was correct for both of them. After about an hour, Emily had me on the slides. She said "C'mon, lets climb up the stairs. I'll show you how!" Around 4 pm it was really starting to warm up, so we convenced Emily to go see the ducks by telling her we were going to get some french fries. She left was out a meltdown. We saw the ducks and turtle then left and went to BK. In the car, I kept asking Emily is she wanted some Fries, she just kept mumbling "I just want a coke." I got a coke and a chocolate milk shake. When Sophie and Tim left, we all crashed out for about 3 hours.

Such a big word. I called the doctor this morning, because Mia was all stuffed up was breathing out of her mouth. They told me to come right in, so an hour later I was at the office. 2 hours later I the doctor told me she had "conjunctivitis". It looks like to me she just has a sinus infection. So anyways they gave her a prescription for eye drops. I have to give them to her 4x a day for 7 days that quite a feat 4x for such a little person.
I got back from the doctor and Rich had to leave for a call. Mia was sleeping and Emily was watching cartoons, I decided it was time for some spring cleaning. I took all the toys and dumped them on the bed. I washed out the toy bins and started organzing. Legos, wooded blocks, plastic train tracks, wooden thomas the train, little people, stuffed animals and figurines - anything not in those categories or didn't fit went into paper bags to go to grandma's attic. I threw away trash and old toys, torn books, suckers, 1/2 crayons, missing puzzle pieces. I even moved the couch and swept underneath. PHeww. I feels good to actually be able to walk through one room of the house without stepping on 5000 toys and not bumping in to anything.
I was getting Mia out of the walker and Emily started this dialong. Where do I belong?
Emily: "Dadoo belongs in his office. That is where he belongs?
Me: Where does Mama belong?
Emily: "Mama belongs in the mama room.
Me: Where does Emily belong?
Emily: "Emily belongs in her bedroom on her bed with her kitty cats"
Me: Where does Mia belong?
Emily: "in the car."

Mia has just started this new thing. Fighting Sleep!!!. Instead of laying in her crib and drinking a bottle and going right to sleep, she fights it. She cries and cries. The only solution I have found. Is just to hold her in my lap at my desk and play music for her or to watch internet tv.
Mia drank out of cup this morning. I had a little bit of orange soda in my cup and she guzzled it all down. Her new food she loves is yogurt, she couldn't get enough of it.

Today!
Is already starting out long, it started at 3 am this morning. Mia played in her bumbo awhile then it was crib time and then the walker. Its 7:10 am and Emily has having a meltdown, because I won't let her dig through some of my office drawers. When she is getting less attention, she starts acting out. She got up around 4:30 am and was playing good until now. Now Mia is fighting sleep and fussing and Emily is bawling.
I have to go run errands this morning when stores actually open, because by 3 pm I'll be asleep or a walking zombie.
Target for shampoo
Sams for formula
Today we are on a 12 hour shift from 4 pm to 4 am. I think out of all the kids shifts this one is my favorite. This morning we were up around 3:30 am. By 9 am the dishes were all done, clothes were folded and I was ironing pants.
Emily woke up sick this morning with a running nose and stuffed up. She told me this afternoon, "I need to go to the doctor to get a band-aid, that will make me feel better." So today has been sick day. Emily has been lounging around on the air mattress with 4 pillows and blanket along with her friends (2 stuffed cats and a dog). Watching ETV on the big tv and drinking Dr. Pepper.
I made a Roast Turkey stouffers meal for lunch and fed the rest of my mash potatoes to Mia. Then Emily came over and said she wanted mash potatoes and hot dogs. So I got Mia situated in her bumbo playing and made instant mash potatoes. I gave Emily a scoop sprinkled with garlic salt, then went back and got Mia a bowl. Mia grimiced for the first bite, I think if she could talk she would say "These aren't Stouffers!". They were pretty bad they smelled like cardboard and were tasteless.

Snow falling all day.
Emily slept from 10:45 pm-9 pm.
Wound up until she crashed for a nap at 3 am.
