Playing Hard

Mia loves her excer-saucer. She plays and plays and jumps. I was working in my office and I soon realized it was really quite. I got up and found Mia found alseep in her saucer. I grabbed the camera and caught these shots. Then picked her up and put her in the crib and she took a long nap.

Snowmen



Emily loves holding a porcelin snowman musicbox on the piano. She said she needed the scissors so she could cut the snowman off. I told her she could make her own snowmen. So I grabbed I jst of big marshmellows and a box of toothpicks and showed her how to stack them and add arms.

New Shift

The 3rd shift has finally shifted slowly but surely. It moved early in the week from 4 pm -4 am. In bed at 4 pm up at 4 am. Then one night Emily slept all night. So now its bed by 6 pm and up at 5:30 am.

Cookie Cutters

New product for my etsy shop. Elles Studio calls her cutouts, Cosmo Cricket call theirs elements, October Afternoon has wild cards. So I was trying to think of a word for my journaling cards and tags. So since they have to be cutout, I dreamed up a name: "Cookie Cutters". I sold one yesterday then posted another one and within the hour I had 83 views. So I have to get busy making more. They are super cute. They are to pretty to cut up. The first one I made is for the line Cherry Chocolate with a Sarah Kay flashcard and illustration. Super cute for valentine pages.


I have ideas for a couple polka dot ones, little bird told me, candy land, winter song, puppy dog tails (for boy pages), sugar and spice (little girls), pink elephant (baby girls), tow truck (boys). I guess I'd better get busy, since some of the these new lines I'm making the paper too.

Mia 5 Months Update

This post is a little late, since Mia turned 5 months last Tuesday January 19th. Mia went to the doctor for her weigh in and shots.


Weight: 21 lbs 13 oz

Head: 25" round

Length: 29" long


Her new thing: She arches her back when you are holding her, that means she wants to be put down. She loves her excer-saucer. Last night she watched "Blazing Sadles" she bounced and laughed for over an hour. This morning she woke up around 7:30 am, after her bottle she was ready to jump and play. She played until 11:30 am until eyes wouldn't stay open any longer. She gets busy and realy focused on one toy. Then she moves on to another toy. If you talk to her, she looks up like what? Then goes back to her toy.

Counting

Emily likes to count. She has learned how to count by playing computer games. This Emily saying her numbers at 6:45 am while drawing on a piece of paper "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, eleventeen, 13, eleventeen, 17, 16, 20, 26, 28, 34, 35"

Rich said yesterday she counted from 1-15.

100th Heart

Me sitting in my office all night
Mia, Emily and I all on third shift .
Sleep from 9 am unti 6 pm.
listening to Emily's computer playing obnoxious noise and music with no words
making bottles and chocolate milk
changing lots of diapers and blow outs
washing tons of clothes
floor that desperately needs vacuumed but both kids are terrified of it
sweeping that just gathers more crumbs
tediously working on new website
Rich building new internet tv box (bye bye charter)
cold rainy days
haven't gone outside since last time I went to the post office

More Suckers. Please!

Who likes Dum Dum Suckers? Emily drags around a bag full of suckers she got in her stocking at Christmas. She is always looking for the pink ones. There is half eaten suckers all over the house. I found one stuck to Mia's burp diaper, one on the floor, one on the coffee table, in the toy box. Wrappers are every where, Emily rips off the wrapper and onto the floor it goes. Mia doesn't care which flavor she gets, and she lets you know when you have gotten busy eating her sucker and she wants another lick.

Sisters




I sat Mia on the couch with Emily. She fell over onto Emily and Emily wasn't doing everything to get as far near the arm as possible. Emily prompty as soon as I picked mia up moved to the other side of the couch and then just got up and went to the other side of the room. I thought they would be great pictures. Oh no Emily wasn't to excited about this, but Mia was she was grining from ear to ear the whole time.

Scrapbook Page


It's been a long time since i've scrapped. I tried out the Karla Dudley template. I would like to try to make one a day, we'll see how long that lasts?


Giggles and Laughter


This morning around 7:30 am (me and kids of course stayed up all night) I was cutting out flashcards and I heard Mia just giggling and laughing. I moved my chair around the corner and Mia is jumping for joy in her excersaucer and Emily is dancing a stuffed blue elephant in front of her.

Mia just loves Emily, she watched every move she makes. If Emily moves away, she will crain her head around so she can watch her.

Emily doesn't always like Mia. She tells me that Mia kicked her or Mia touched her pillow. Or Mia is looking at her.

But it was cutest thing watching them interact this morning.

Resolution

How cute and versitile is the kit from Karla Dudley. I read Karla blog everyday, I saw this I had to get it. Now I need to start Scrapping. I have done much digital scrapping, but now since I'm designing like made I should and then showcase my new products. So this is my incentive to start doing some digital scrapping.

Templates

It's now Monday at 12:35 am. Sometime Saturday I finally got a template on my webpage done. Since then I have the pattern papers pages done and now I'm finishing up journaling cards. Except now the pages keep growing. so now I have lots of home pages that lead some where else. then another page that leads somewhere else. I have more ideas now following of what I want to make for the site and I'm trying to do some as I go along. Except that just creates more web work. Slowly but surely I'll be online soon. Hopefully by the end of the month.

Another note: Emily has scissors now and is cutting and Mia is in her exersaucer trying to crain her neck around to see Emily. Rich is sleeping for work tomorrow.

Mia like to sit in her bumbo now in front of the toy box full of big legos and play. She loves to pick up toys and then they go straight for her mouth. I don't remember Emily liking to play with toys this early. I think it is because she didn't have many toys. Emily has a quite a collection now that Mia like to play with anything with bright colors.

Forgotten and No Time

Lately, there has been no time to blog. I've just been super-glued to my office chair, designing new etsy stuff, making custom birthday tags and shipping out orders. Which is really good, but not for my blog, which just sits all lonely.

Right now its 6:04 am. I've been awake all night. Emily is playing Mickey mouse computer games, Rich had to go meet Matt 20 minutes away to change a flat tire and Mia is on the air-mattress gazing at the tv.

This morning I finished designing my new Cherry Chocolate line of papers and journaling tags. Its works for valentine papers, but with no hearts it can be used year round. I think I'm going to put together a kit with maybe some number tags, calendar cards and buttons.

I picked up the house after Rich left, started the dryer, folded and put away clothes and soaked a greasy bacon pan. The kids don't want to sleep, so I'm still up trying to make a dent in the house. Oh I also put up the fake christmas tree, put away the ornaments and the lights on the tree. Emily was quite distressed saying she never gets to decorate. I told her we could decorate the tree again next year.

Well my stomach is growling, so I'm off to eat maybe a big bowl of Honey-nut cherrios.
