It's been a long time since i've scrapped. I tried out the Karla Dudley template. I would like to try to make one a day, we'll see how long that lasts?

Resolution

How cute and versitile is the kit from Karla Dudley. I read Karla blog everyday, I saw this I had to get it. Now I need to start Scrapping. I have done much digital scrapping, but now since I'm designing like made I should and then showcase my new products. So this is my incentive to start doing some digital scrapping.

Tall Stacks of paper

I have been cutting paper scraps for almost a week now. I have tall beautiful stacks of paper sitting on my printer table. 6x6 patterened paper, 6x6 cardstock, 4x6 patterned paper, 2x2, 3x3, 4x4 of assorted paper and cardstock and hundreds of punched butterflies.

Emily has been enjoying playing along too. She sits in the chair at the end of the table and lines up paper scraps. She likes to use my green cutter and snitches new paper off the stack to cut up. She also finds shapes and like to pretend she making houses. Or she says that the owl is in tree and she has a owl sitting on leaf shape.

Scrapbooking

Sophie, Tim and Grandma picked up Emily around 3 pm to spend the day with them. I put Mia in the baby carrier and went to work on her baby book. When Emily is gone, I don't even touch the house, because I can do that with Emily's help. I sneak off to my studio and scrapbook or print pictures. When Emily is here I can't even go near that room, she goes through every drawer and has it a mess. So yesterday I stayed glued in my studio, inbetween Mia feedings, from 3 pm-1:30 am. I got 2 pages done.

Wishlist

I wondered into Hobby Lobby today with Mia and was drooling at all the new products they have in the store. When I got home I put together a box of stuff to sell so I can save up some money to buy some new things.

I love this new punch. I saw Ali Edwards use it on one of her layouts. Right now I one sheet of paper with this edging that I use as a template. I have to manually punch every whole and cut out the scallops with scissors. So this would be a good time saver.

This is a gorgious new doily scallop punch from Martha Stewart. I looked everywhere for this punch a couple of months ago. I didn't find it. Now Hobby Lobby is carry it. I saw this used on a layout by Elizabeth Kartchner.

Now I just have to collect some 40% coupons and some $$ to purchase these. I listed about 8 Idea books on the For Sale message board at 2 peas in bucket. So I should be able to get these soon. :))

Phrase of the Day

I'm so tired today. I can't get enough sleep. Emily watched Frosty the Snowman about 6 times, then Winnie the Pooh. She was on the air matress and looked at me and said.

"Watch Santy Claus and the monster who took the deer"
(meaning Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer)

Emily fell asleep watching Rudolph. I'm working on Mia's new baby book. I made a nice one for Emily and haven't kept up with it. So I'm going to try something different for Mia. (Hey look Rich said baby ross first name is going to be Mia. It feels good to actually type a name) so today I was working on her family tree for her book.

Isn't it a cute design its from MaryJane's etsy shop. I just love it. So I think Mia's new baby book is going to be all retro/vintage design.

Scrapbook Tags and Contractions

I stayed up until 4 am printing out new tags to use for scrapbooking. I like the My Little Bicycle Tags and Elle's Studio tags so I made my own. Then around 6:50 am I started to have painful contractions for over 2 hours. They finally stopped, but if they hadn't, I would be in triage now.

Pink Bows and Buttons

I actually sat in my scraproom for about 6 hours (only because Emily was with her grandparents) and made some cards. I pulled out everything pink. Pink paper, pink patterened paper, pink ribbon, pink flowers, pink buttons and pink labels. Doris one of my friends at work, wants to give me a shower. She said the only catch is that she wants me to make the invitations. She said she didn't want store bought ones, she wanted scrapbooking cards. She wanted me to show off my scrapbooking skills on the invitation. So I told her I would make a couple and she could pick out which one she liked the best.

Smile. Today would be a wonderful day not to take life so seriously. Today may end up the way you prefer - and it may not. Happiness is not about being a winner - it's about being gentle with life - being gentle with yourself. Let life be a dance, and choose the kind of dance you want for today - perhaps a gentle loving dance.
